So what's new…

Ok it's been a few months since I posted an entry here and I've been busy too.

I'm still going at BlackSwirl, although I'm having a break as I had type designers block. Also in the past 6 months I've reworked one of my old comic book fonts "COMICANDY"

Current Version:

Weegraphicsman.deviantart.com/…

Again I've taken a break from this as I got type designers block again. However both fonts are coming along really well and when I feel fresh enough to continue I'll go back and have a look at them.

In the meantime I've been playing with a brush script and I've produced the beginnings of a new font. I've been messing around with calligraphy pens, brushes, dip pens and various nibs, producing single letters and whole words. I have the Uppercase and lowercase made and a whole heap of ligatures. The font itself isn't a connecting script, more of a calligraphic script; hand drawn with a brush and ink; scanned in Photoshop and then  traced in Fontlab. At the moment I'm really enjoying making this, although the pain in shoulder is agony at the minute, which means I'm struggling to work, very frustrating.

I'm also on the hunt for old second hand SPEEDBALL books, if anyone knows of anywhere on the internet that ships to the UK, I'd be really grateful.

Take Care

i found some people online with pdf versions - typically US$5 each or so. i can dig out links if you want (note me). They tend to be photos of each page, with the pages not perfectly flat.
